Fabrics and accessories buyer

CANDIDATUL IDEAL:

Ideal candidate will posses:
- Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience;
- Firm understanding and practical application of purchasing best practices and techniques;
- Strong foundation in MS Office;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Very good negotiation skills;
- Advanced in English;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Very good knowledge of import activity, payment methods (e.g: letter of credit) and transport conditions;
- Sense of fashion trends
- Availability for travel to various countries.

RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Role:
A fabrics and accessories buyer is responsible for planning and selecting a range fabrics and accessories needed for NISSA’s collections. Keeping up to date with market trends and reacting to changes in demand are key elements of the role.
A fabrics and accessories buyer has a considerable amount of responsibility in what is often a pressured environment.

Responsibilities:
Work activities can vary according to the season. For example: out of the season, the majority of time will be spent in the workplace (in the office); during the buying season, a significant amount of time will be spent away from the workplace in order to assemble a new collection of merchandise.


The main responsibilities are:
- Propose and control purchasing department budget;
- Organize the purchase activity for the fabrics and accessories;
- Analyze consumer buying patterns and predict future trends;
- Regularly review performance indicators, e.g.: sales, discount levels;
- Identify, evaluate and select potential suppliers;
- Meet the suppliers, negotiate terms of contracts, conclude contracts and follow them up;
- Evaluate costs and negotiate optimum delivery schedules;
- Resolve problems relating to purchasing, delivery and payment to the supplier, determinates source of the problem and takes appropriate corrective action;
- Attend international trade fairs, select and assemble the new collection of products;
- Place and follow the orders;
- Monitor deliveries and samples;
- Checking payment status of issued invoices in accordance with the negotiated date;
- Processing payments and invoices, opens letters of credits;
- Monitor the best-selling pieces in the store and the evolution of the purchased products;
- Write reports and forecasting sales levels;
- Negotiate the conditions of transport for purchased products;
- Prepare customs documentation;
- Make all customs procedures in order to pick up the products.
