Quality Manager - Iasi

We are now looking for a Quality Manager, to be based in Iasi, Romania within Lear Seating Division (TRIM).
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Ouality Manager, who is accomplished at working in an international and fast growing environment. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager you’ll enjoy managing, planning and organizing the quality department activity of our Plant in line with Lear’s global strategy.

Your core activities will be to:
  • Define, implement and up-date the quality system in the plant, according to the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures
  • Represent management in quality assurance problems
  • Represent the customer as part of the company
  • Define, plan and implement internally the procedures for new products
  • Follow and coordinate the quality responsible activity in the plant in order to achieve a continuous improvement of the quality and in order to make sure that Quality Control Techniques (Control Plans, SPC, etc) are properly used
  • Promote and follow the accomplishment of internal audits (process, product and procedures) in order to validate constantly the quality in the plant
  • Contacts the customer whenever there is a problem that may conduct to a quality incident or alert. Coordinates together with the departments involved (Engineering, Production, and Maintenance) the analysis and the preparation of an action plan that must contain all necessary actions to avoid recurrence. Follows if the actions established were accomplished in due time and communicates permanently with the customer
  • Contact the supplier in case of a problem that may generate a quality incident or alert
  • Coordinate and follow the rework activity and also the analysis of different defects
  • Coordinate and follow the activities of the laboratory regarding quality/ production tests, products homologation and calibration, testing methods, etc., applicable in TRIM field.
  • Coordinate, promote and follow the preparation of the plant for quality evaluations, performed either by official institutions or the customers, as well as by other departments from the same company
  • Coordinate and follow the analysis of the problems that appear for the products under warranty in order to reduce and/ or prevent recurrence
  • Follow if the actions that have to be taken for correcting quality problems that may appear during subcontracting (POC) are properly performed

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful you’ll need:
  • A track record of success working in international automotive companies preferably with a background in manufacturing. In your previous roles, you have successfully driven and lead quality departments for a minimum 3 years
  • Experience of establishing new production facilities
  •  Knowledge: SPC (Statistic Process Control), MSA (Measurement System Analysis); APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning); PPAP (Production Plan Approval Process); FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analyses), Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why
  • Goal orientated and enjoy change and people management
  • To be interpersonally strong, PC literate and able to analyze data
  • To be a good Problem solver, strong leader with excellent decision making and judgement skills
  • Technical University degree
  • Fluency in  English is required
